October 18/Chicago: Discovering the Cloud - What’s the Forecast for Cloud-Based eDiscovery?

With the growth of “cloud” solutions in the business world, technologies such as content and collaboration applications like Microsoft Office 365, web-based email including Gmail and Exchange, online CRM tools and complete cloud-based infrastructure solutions (IaaS), must now be considered in the context of litigation and/or compliance purposes.
This is a one-hour CLE program offered by BlueStar to law firms and corporate legal departments. The presentation focuses on key points and legal issues concerning the implementation of cloud-based solutions in terms of the legal implications and best practices for storing, accessing and collecting electronically stored information (ESI).
You will learn:
  • Determine who really owns the data
  • Access and preserve ESI in the cloud
  • Leverage cloud technology as a legal hold and document preservation repository.
