October 23/San Francisco: AABA/ALC Voter Protection Training

Please join the AABA Civil Rights Committee and the Asian Law Caucus in conducting poll monitoring for the November 6th election to make sure that immigrant and limited English speaking voters have adequate language access pursuant to Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act.
AABA and ALC will be providing free training to lawyers (and law students) who are interested in poll monitoring on the evening of Tuesday, October 23rd (6:30 to 8 p.m.) at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in San Francisco. Poll monitors receive 1 hour of CLE credit and volunteer for three hours on the morning of Election Day. Based on the poll monitoring observations, ALC will prepare reports recommending changes to election practices to promote ballot access for immigrant and limited English proficient voters.
We need your help to protect the voting rights of the Asian American community. If you are interested in participating, please RSVP to Lin Chan with your name and contact information.
