October 7: Telecon - Back to Work? Showdown between Congress and the President #MCLE

In the midst of a government shutdown, with the confrontation over raising the debt limit coming to a head, and the ongoing obstruction of presidential appointments, what’s a president to do in the face of legislative gridlock? If Congress cannot or refuses to act, what options are available to the President? This call will focus on the scope of executive power and the President’s ability to address national challenges when Congress won’t cooperate.
