December 12: Seattle - Security Clearance Law – Regulatory Standards and Administrative Procedure

The Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA) adjudicate industrial security clearance cases under DoD Directive 5220.6 – Appeals of Industrial Security Clearance Cases, which implements Executive Order 10865 – Safeguarding Classified Information within Industry. These cases involve security clearances for Contractor personnel doing classified work for all DoD components and 24 other Federal Agencies and Departments. If you are interested in learning more about adjudications, due process hearings, and appeals of security clearance cases for private sector employees, please join us on December 12, 2013 for the Mini-CLE presentation Security Clearance Law – Regulatory Standards and Administrative Procedure. The Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals also conducts appeal hearings for active duty, reserve, and national guard military personnel, as well as DoD employees, whose security clearances have been denied or revoked. Judge White will be discussing both types of cases.

Judge David M. White, Administrative Judge, Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals, has been an Administrative Judge with the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals since 2006. He has served 30 years in the U.S. Navy, the final 7 years as a Circuit Military Judge in the Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary.
