Dec 1-31: Explicit and Implicit Bias in the Courtroom - Washington State #MCLE Recording

Bias in the courtroom usually conjures up images of lawyers engaging in discriminatory jury selection or judges or juries being biased toward one of the litigants. Rarely does the issue arise of racial bias directed by jurors toward a party’s attorney. Even more rare is direct evidence of such bias.
In this presentation, Professor Chang will discuss how a better understanding of the existence and operation of bias can allow you to anticipate and address its effects in a professional responsible manner.
This MP3 audio recording will be available at no cost to WSBA members throughout the month of December.

  1. I really enjoyed this CLE. It makes you think about what biases you may have that you don't realize are there.
