April 23: Webcast - Recent National Trends in Case Law Addressing Notice Provisions in Legal Malpractice Insurance Policies


The cases in 2013 interpreting notice provisions in legal malpractice policies discuss recent changes in policy language that define a "claim" as including circumstances when an insured knows or should know of a potential claim, when an incident becomes a reportable potential claim, and when innocent insureds are entitled to coverage if another lawyer fails to report a claim or potential claim. These cases focus on issues that frequently lead to disputes between lawyers and their insurers, and there are no clear and consistent rulings from the courts.
