July 12: Immigrant Children & SIJ Relief: Accessing Benefits & Resources

This is the third and final session of a three-part series on Special Immigrant Juvenile classification (SIJ). 
In this webinar, the presenters will focus on benefits and resources available to immigrant children and youth who seek and obtain SIJ classification. Topics to be covered include a brief review of the SIJ application process; public benefits available to SIJ children and youth; extended foster care benefits; OTIP (Office of Trafficking in Persons) letters and the benefits they can access; considerations for parents when applying for benefits; accessing education; housing assistance; documents needed to access benefits; and common barriers to access.
