Sep 30/Seattle: Consumer Protection Basics

The Antitrust, Consumer Protection and Unfair Business Practices Section invites you to a presentation by Paula Selis of the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office.

The CLE will cover the basics of consumer protection law in the state of Washington, the Consumer Protection Act and related statutes, as well as relevant FTC law affecting the interpretation of the CPA. Ms. Selis will address the history of the law, the elements necessary to prove a claim, and particular issues of note. She will also address recent developments in the law, particularly in the Internet context.
