Will lawyers and doctors soon be replaced by robots? Will the new AI forever change the way universities teach and conduct classes? Recent advancements in artificial intelligence, specifically generative AI, such as the ChatGPT chatbot, present a new approach to creating and obtaining information, including legal, medical, and other professional services. For example, an AI-powered robot designed by iFlyTech recently became the first machine to pass a medical licensing exam. In February 2023, the world’s first robot lawyer will represent a client in a U.S. courtroom.
This symposium will be the first to confront the latest developments in artificial intelligence within the legal and neuroscientific contexts. Experts in technology, robotics, neuroscience, and law will be speaking about the implications of this new AI technology on the legal industry and the many regulatory and ethical concerns it presents.
