November 5: Power Prompting: Mastering Prompting Techniques for Legal Professionals

This seminar will equip legal professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively utilize LLMs in their practice, enhancing their ability to leverage AI technology in a legal context. The emphasis will be on how to:

 • Have a foundational understanding of how Large Language Models operate and the key technical mechanisms that influence their behavior. 

• Identify common prompting mistakes and learn strategies to avoid them in legal practice. 

• Understand the benefits and potential applications of generative AI in legal tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

• Select appropriate LLMs for legal tasks including assessing factors such as privacy, security, training data, and understand the distinction between legal and general-use LLMs. 

• Learn and implement the 5 Ps of Prompting—Prime, Persona, Prompt, Product, and Polish—to craft effective prompts for legal tasks
