Aug 24/Seattle - Law & Liberty: Data Mining and Privacy

This installment of the ACLU of Washington's "Law & Liberty" CLE series features ACLU-WA Technology & Liberty Director Brian Alseth.

This seminar explores the power and potential of data modeling, explains how the law addresses data mining, and examines whether our current system provides any significant protections to the individual.

Examples from Facebook, Netflix, and other high-profile tech companies, as well as shadowy data brokers that no one has ever heard of.

Arrive early to check out our venue, which takes the business of space travel very seriously. It's all they do.
