June 10/Minneapolis, MN - #Intellectual_Property: Beyond the Basics

Kinney & Lange announces
"Kinney & Lange invites you to its 24th seminar surveying intellectual property law on June 10, 2011, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This free seminar, tailored for in-house counsel and business lawyers, covers intellectual property issues affecting the rights, obligations and competitive strategies of businesses. The seminar combines lectures covering substantive legal topics and case law updates in the context of practical business considerations.

Based on the success of our 2010 seminar, this year's seminar once again presents Intellectual Property: Beyond the Basics, a more advanced program than some of our previous offerings. We expect this seminar will be of particular interest to in-house counsel and business lawyers who regularly encounter intellectual property law issues.

Last year, attendees received 5.5 CLE credits in Minnesota and 7.0 CLE credits in Wisconsin. We expect similar credits for this year's seminar. Half-day credits are available for attending the morning or afternoon portion. Attendees will receive a bound, twenty-second edition of Kinney & Lange’s "Overview of Intellectual Property For Business Lawyers." In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to order an expanded edition of Kinney & Lange's "Intellectual Property Law For Business Lawyers." The text, published by Thomson West, offers in-depth explanations of most facets of intellectual property law, including not only patents, trademarks and copyrights, but also trade secrets, advertising, the right of publicity, and foreign intellectual property rights.

Kinney & Lange’s seminar educates the legal community about intellectual property law issues and provides a service to the legal community as a "thank you" for our success over the years. We first presented the seminar in Minneapolis in 1984. As we planned our first half-day seminar, we hoped 50 to 75 people would attend. We were pleasantly surprised to receive over 400 registrations. With each subsequent seminar, we expected the seminar’s novelty to diminish. However, the seminar has always received an enthusiastic response, as thousands of people have attended our seminars over the years.

We are pleased and proud to share our expertise with communities that have fostered our success over the years. We hope you will attend our seminar in 2011."
