The King County Bar Association was the first county bar association in the country to create a Collaborative Law Section and is taking a new leadership role by being the first Bar Association in the Country to offer basic training in Collaborative Law that includes a significant focus on practice outside family law.
What makes this training unique is that it is being offered in monthly two hour modules allowing participants to get as little or as much training as they want and to focus their training on the substantive areas of law that are of greatest interest to them. The trainings are offered at no additional cost to all members of the KCBA Collaborative Law Section. One need not be an attorney to join this section. The section will issue certificates of completion of this basic training to participants taking the three mandatory units and at least seven total units.
