August 6: Legal Malpractice: What You Need to Know About to Avoid Being Sued

Today’s busy attorney typically works under time pressure, and on a number of matters simultaneously. During her working week, she may handle multiple cases involving different clients, evidence issues and deadlines. Litigation is becoming more complex – both in terms of cases and legal issues, - the small simple quickly handled personal injury case is becoming an anachronism. We will discuss what the law of legal malpractice is, how to recognize it, how to avoid committing it. We will touch on common situations that are ripe with risk, and what to do if you come across one. Attendees will walk away with a better knowledge of practical things that they can do to protect themselves.
