Bias in all its forms has become an area of significant focus in recent years. From the #MeToo movement to Black Lives Matter, addressing bias has become a national conversation and is a priority for the incoming Biden administration. This national conversation has translated into a host of legal developments in the past few years that amount to a sea-change in the legal landscape surrounding discrimination and harassment in the workplace. These changes are all noteworthy, and in some cases, momentous. As expected, California remains at the forefront of many of these developments. Implementing best practices to comply with these new laws in the traditional workplace alone present challenges for employers. With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing many employees to work remotely, these challenges only became greater. Join us for a 1 hour CLE presentation for bias credit as we explore the challenges that employers face in addressing bias in the virtual workplace, and the best practices to mitigate the risks posed by those challenges.
