April 9: Artificial Intelligence in Employment: Emerging Laws and Compliance Requirements

Description:

This CLE explores the ways Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used to make employment decisions and the potential risks of its use, including discrimination and algorithmic bias. The program highlights key local, state, and federal laws and guidance that regulate the use of AI in screening, hiring, and other employment decisions, and examines how government action is shaping this rapidly evolving area. Attendees receive best-practice tips for monitoring developments in the legal landscape as regulators work to keep pace with emerging AI technologies in the workplace.

By the end of this course, participants will better understand how to spot and mitigate discrimination and algorithmic bias risks, follow evolving AI-in-employment regulations, and implement compliant, defensible AI-driven hiring and HR practices. The session is designed for employment and labor practitioners who need practical, up-to-date guidance on artificial intelligence in employment law and compliance requirements.
