This CLE will be presented by attorneys Soren Giselson and Aaron Ahlquist of Herman, Herman, Katz and Cotlar, and Joel Waltzer and Clay Garside of Waltzer & Wiygul.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to walk through the claims process step by step with the presenting attorneys, as well as get answers to all questions surrounding this initiative.
The Pro Bono Project in collaboration with the Mississippi Center for Justice and other legal service providers in the Gulf Coast states have banded together to ensure that all those affected by the BP oil spill have equitable access to a fair claims process. This group of legal service providers has been working since last summer to put this effort together and have just recently gotten the greenlight.
"This CLE is the first step to ensuring that our volunteer attorneys are well-prepared to handle any Deepwater Horizon claimants that come our way. We are grateful to Steve Herman for spearheading this training effort and for bringing on board his colleagues to make this a complete learning experience for all, " said Executive Director, Rachel Piercey.
