June 8/Webcast - Protecting Domestic Violence Survivors and their Children Part II 2010: Obtaining Safe Custody/Visitation Orders

Millions of Californians are unrepresented in Family Court matters (an estimated 80% of litigants are unrepresented). Low-income clients are in desperate need of your pro bono help.

Attend this free PLI program, Protecting Domestic Violence Survivors and their Children Part II on how to obtain safe custody/visitation orders and volunteer with your local legal services agency to represent domestic violence survivors in need.  With a limited time commitment, you can help obtain essential legal protections needed for survivors and their children to build a safe life free of abuse!

June 8, 2010, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (P.D.T.)This is a webcast of the live San Francisco session.

Who Should Attend
Any California licensed attorney interested in providing pro bono assistance to low-income domestic violence survivors in restraining order cases.  Generally, this assistance can be provided on a limited scope basis (i.e. limited time commitment of 1 to 2 hearings), yet helping to obtain essential protective orders help domestic violence survivors escape the violence and create a safe and stable environment for themselves and their families.
