Sep 10/Honolulu, HI - Pro Bono Representation of #Immigrants - A Primer on Working with Immigrants & Representing Pro Bono Clients in Naturalization Proceedings

The training will be geared toward attorneys interested in pro bono representation of immigrant clients. In addition to reviewing the basics of handling naturalization proceedings and providing practice pointers, the training is designed to inform and educate attorneys about the challenges and special considerations involved in representing immigrant clients, including those with limited English proficiency, to ensure that they are provided culturally and professionally competent legal services.

CLE Credit Comments:
Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is an accredited provider of CLE credits for both California and Hawaii. Participants will receive .5 MCPE for the ethics portion of the program and 3.5 VCLE for attending the training. Upon acceptance and completion of a pro bono case through legal Aid Society's Partnership in Pro Bono, Hawaii VCLE credit will be converted to MCPE credit.
