This CLE is designed to enhance WSBA members’ awareness of key values and items of cultural importance to many of the tribal members of Washington state and how knowledge of these values can assist attorneys in advancing the interests of their tribal members clients in state, federal, and tribal court.
Join the Honorable Mark W. Pouley, Chief Judge of the Swinomish Tribal Court, Lieutenant Julie Edward, member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, Melissa Simonsen, Deputy Prosecutor for the Colville Confederated Tribes and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, and Jason D’Avignon, Judicial Clerk and Court Facilitator for the Colville Tribal Court in Nespelem, as they discuss cultural competency skills needed to achieve inclusion.
