California historically has been considered a hot-bed of environmental regulation, and that trend has continued in recent years. The State has long kept a list of particularly dangerous chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity and requires companies doing business in California to warn consumers about any potential exposure to those chemicals.
