We are serious. Insurance is necessary, and it is time to buckle down and learn the basics.
In addition to traditional building inspection & testing, estimating, and quality & construction management services, every year for the last 20 our business has worked on hundreds of building claims& litigation matters, including expert witness testimony. We have been hired to analyze the liability of many thousands of project players. In this program we will apply our experience to explain why mitigating risk is important, we will lay out the types of insurance relevant to the building industry, and we will define who is involved in every step of the process.
While this program is inherently beneficial to construction and legal professionals looking to expand their understanding of insurance a sit applies to them, insurance professionals would benefit from this program as a tool for communicating with clients who do not know the first thing about insurance. The curse of knowledge causes professionals to unconsciously assume they share a base of knowledge about the subject they deal with every day. Even when attempting to explain “just the basics,” experts struggle to reduce a subject they know so much about down to the true basics.
