- Lauren Stiller Rikleen is the interim Executive Director and Board member of Lawyers Defending American Democracy and President of the Rikleen Institute for Strategic Leadership. Her many leadership roles within the American Bar Association include having served as a member of the Board of Governors and as Chair of the Section of Civil Rights & Social Justice; she is currently Co-Chair of the ABA Women’s Caucus. Lauren is also a former president of the Boston Bar Association. She is the author of over 200 articles and 4 books, including: The Shield of Silence: How Power Perpetuates a Culture of Harassment and Bullying in the Workplace. A former law firm equity partner and mediator, Lauren was listed in Best Lawyers in America for two decades and was recognized in Chambers USA America’s Leading Business Lawyers, and in Massachusetts Super Lawyers. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the ABA’s Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award.
- Estelle Rogers is a Board member of Lawyers Defending American Democracy and the Chair of its voting rights committee. She also chairs the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Election Law and co-chairs its Women’s Caucus. Before her retirement, she spent a 40-year career in Washington, DC, as a public interest lawyer, including 11 years as a voting rights lawyer at a nonpartisan, non-profit organization, concentrating primarily on state legislative advocacy and drafting model bills. She continues to do election work as a volunteer, traveling to Florida, Ohio, and Missouri—as well as working remotely in many other states—to provide voter protection assistance during early voting and on Election Day. She currently re-sides in Sonoma County, CA.
- Molly Matter is a human right and voting rights attorney based out of Vashon Island, Washington. She is the founder of Amend Law, LLC, and collaborates with national and grassroots organizations on voting rights investigations, compliance with state and federal voting rights law, and civil rights policy and research. Ms. Matter is lead counsel in Reyes v Chilton, a lawsuit against Yakima County, Benton County and Chelan County for vote denial. Attorney Matter also works in detention centers to document human rights violations and advocates for the release and humane treatment of children.
