Oct 30/Seattle: "Pro Bono Workshops: Hope and Help in Hard Times"

An ABA "Celebrate Pro Bono Week" Event!

Calling all lawyers, paralegals, and law students interested in making a difference in your community!

Join us October 30 for a day of pro bono workshops on:
  •  Information on how to get involved in local pro bono activities.
  • The basics of setting up a pro bono practice and working with pro bono clients.
  • Pro bono incentives and ethics
  • CLE Credits: 6 for the full day, including 1.75 Ethics.
ATTENTION 4freeCLE fans: this event is not free. However, it includes many CLE credits (surely 6, possibly 8) and if you quality for the hardship rate, then it's only $25. Throw in the free lunch and the super networking opportunity, and this is better than free.  Just be sure to look your best, and please, don't abuse the hardship waiver (but don't be shy if you, like so many of us, are underemployed or unemployed. The event organizers want you there!)

Mr. Gates was founding Chair of the LAW Fund Advisory Council, served as Co-Chair of the WSBA Long-Range Planning Committee whose report led to the establishment of our state's Access to Justice Board (the nation's first), and served as President of the WSBA and Seattle-King County Bar Association.

President Mungia, partner at Gordon Thomas Honeywell Malanca Peterson & Dalheim, is a leader in the equal justice community, having served in leadership

Mr. Schneider was pro bono co-counsel on the Guantanamo habeas corpus case Hamdan v. Rumsfeld.
