New York City Bar Association's annual
training program for lawyers in the NYC metropolitan area who are
representing, or are considering representing, death row inmates. There
will be separate habeas sessions for "newcomers" & those with more
experience; a session on mental illness, mental retardation & the
death penalty; a review of recent Supreme Court decisions; ethics
hypotheticals for capital punishment lawyers; and a keynote talk over
free lunch by renowned capital punishment lawyer George Kendall. (See
