Law Enforcement: "There's An App for That" - On-Demand MCLE

Government is increasingly turning to technology to assist with investigations, especially those conducted on the internet. In some cases, investigations previously conducted by law enforcement officers have been completely automated. With this program, criminal attorneys will learn about software-conducted investigations of peer-to-peer (P2P) networks and will gain helpful insight on how to attack the reliability of these investigations by asking the right questions.

  • Ronald Frey is partner of the Friedman & Frey, L.L.C. in Cleveland, OH. He has served as lead counsel in high profile and complex cases at courts at all levels across the country, and has a reputation for bringing ingenuity, aggressiveness, and a comprehensive technique to client matters. He serves as trial counsel in disciplinary matters involving allegations of unethical conduct by attorneys, and has lectured and written on topics affecting the practice of criminal law. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies, teaching Criminal Law and Criminal Forensics.
  • Kristina Supler is an an associate at Friedman & Frey, L.L.C. She has served as both primary and co-counsel during trials in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the United States. Her expertise is in federal litigation and sentencing matters. She has lectured on issues affecting sentencing and has authored articles on sentencing and technology topics in national publications.
