July 30/NYC: Mortgage Foreclosure Crisis Part 1 of 2 Consumer Perspective


This program looks at the foreclosure crisis from the point of view of its effects on consumers. It will examine questions of standing on the part of the foreclosing entity, Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS), robo-signing, the consequences of securitization on the perfection of the mortgagee's security interest, bankruptcy implications and more. There will also be a discussion of the 50 State Attorney General Settlement and how that will impact foreclosures going forward.
This program is free only for members of the Federal Bar Council members.
