Speaker:
James J. Sandman is President of the Legal Services Corporation. Mr. Sandman was general counsel for the District of Columbia Public Schools from 2007 to 2011, president of the District of Columbia Bar from 2006-2007, and in a variety of leadership roles within the District of Columbia Bar and in other organizations he has established a long track record of innovation and success in the provision of pro bono legal services. He was an attorney at Arnold & Porter LLP from 1977 to 2007 and served as the firm’s managing partner from 1995 to 2005.
