July 24: Minneapolis - Pro Bono Naturalization Project Training #MCLE

This training will prepare attorneys to participate in the ILCM Pro Bono Naturalization Project. Through the ILCM Naturalization Project, pro bono attorneys represent low-income immigrants and refugees in their citizenship cases. All cases have been pre-screened for eligibility and should only require 15 – 20 hours of legal work, depending on attorney experience. ILCM staff provides ongoing legal support throughout all cases. The ILCM Naturalization Project is a great way to help immigrants achieve the ultimate goal of securing citizenship in the United States, enabling them to unite their families, pass U.S. citizenship on to their children, and vote in future elections! No immigration experience is needed to volunteer with this project and ILCM can provide malpractice insurance to volunteers if needed! Volunteers will need an active attorney license, as well as a phone number and mailing address that can be used for case work. For questions contact the ILCM Pro Bono Director, Anne Applebaum, at probono@ilcm.org.
