February 6: 2019 Novel Coronavirus: Legal Preparedness and Public Health Response Efforts

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses whose effects range from causing the common cold to more serious impacts, including pneumonia and death in some cases. The recent Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak emanating from Wuhan, China is spreading rapidly. Thousands of new cases are confirmed in China and over a dozen countries, with 5 cases identified in the U.S. 
This webinar will provide you with legal, policy and practical guidance related to international and domestic public health responses to 2019 n-CoV including: 
  • a briefing on current epidemiological developments;
  • rapid assessment of international legal responses through the World Health Organization, China, and select foreign governments;
  • latest development of U.S. legal preparedness/response at the federal, state, and local levels; and
  • identification of actual or potential legal issues to arise, as well as related resources.
