May 14/Boston: Lawyering Across Languages

Do you have the skills to work with an interpreter and a limited English proficient client?Join Leonor Figueroa Feher, Training Manager of the Office of Court Interpreter Services at the MA Trial Court in an interactive training exploring the role of the interpreter, do’s and don’ts of working with an interpreter and strategies for effective communication across cultural and linguistic barriers.
Ropes and Gray has generously offered to host this training for attorneys who represent clients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Attorneys who actively volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyers Project/Senior Partners for Justice are welcome to attend.
Please note that you will need to register for and sign in to Volunteerhub to sign up for the training. This is a separate website from the VLP website and requires a separate registration and login.
