November 30: What You Should Know About the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and Free Speech

Join Jonathan Grad of Extra Mile Law, PLLC for this fast-moving, basic class about the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and free speech. We will begin with a very brief overview of the DMCA and then focus on Title II of the Act. Title II creates limitations on the liability of online service providers for copyright infringement when engaging in certain types of activities. We will discuss the DMCA notice and takedown process as well as liability for false takedown notices. We will also discuss the impact of Title II on free speech.
