July 8: Webcast - Preparation of VA Disability Compensation Claims #MCLE

This is a three-hour live webinar program designed to educate attorneys about the VA claims process, with a focus on representing veteran clients through the ABA Veterans’ Claims Assistance Network (ABA VCAN). Attendees will learn about representation before the VA; privacy issues in working with the VA; eligibility for VA disability compensation benefits, as well as dependency and indemnity compensation and pension; establishing service connection; claims procedures, including the Fully Developed Claims (FDC) process; and right to appeal. This program will meet the minimum required CLE for VA accreditation of attorneys to represent veterans before the VA.

The ABA will seek 3 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states and 3.6 hours of CLE credit in 50-minute states in states accrediting ABA live webinars and teleconferences. Credit hours granted are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules.  However, the ABA does not seek direct accreditation of live webinars and teleconferences in FL, ID, KS, ME, NE, NH, NJ, OH, PA, RI, and WY. Some states allow attorneys to earn credit through reciprocity or self-submission.
