August 27: Minneapolis - The Death Penalty Part II: What happened in Nebraska? New Trends in the Death Penalty in the States and the Supreme Court

This event continues a two-part series examining the state of the dealth penalty in the U.S. in 2015. We are excited to welcome Senator Adam Morfeld of the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature to discuss the Nebraska legislature's recent repeal, over the governor's veto, of the state's death penalty. He will be joined by Amy Bergquist of the Advocates for Human Rights, who will discuss trends with regard to the death penalty in other state legislatures across the country and in the United States Supreme Court, including the Court's recent decision in Glossip v. Gross.
