October 6: Seattle - Tipping the State Courts in Favor of Working Women: How to protect women and ensure gender equality in the workplace

Caroline Fredrickson
President, American Constitution Society
Join the ACS Puget Sound Lawyer Chapter, the King County Washington Women Lawyers, and the Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association for an in-depth conversation with ACS President Caroline Fredrickson of the two-tiered system that exists in our country, where some working women have a full panoply of rights, while others have few or none at all. This includes maternity leave, equal pay, guaranteed sick and family leave, and protections from harassment. Learn how judges, particularly on the state courts, as well as legislatures and work places can and should be making a difference, and enacting more progressive polices to protect the fastest growing part of the workforce.
