There have been a great number of changes in patent law over the last year. Therefore, this year’s seminar will focus on the more complicated aspects of patent prosecution, ownership, and enforcement in this time of change. We first presented the seminar in Minneapolis in 1984. As we planned our first half-day seminar, we hoped 50 to 75 people would attend. We were pleasantly surprised to receive over 400 registrations. With each subsequent seminar, we expected the seminar’s novelty to diminish. However, the seminar has always received an enthusiastic response, as thousands of people have attended our seminars over the years.
