January 14: Chicago - The Rosa Parks Story #MCLE

We will watch the Rosa Parks Story (2002), starring Angela Basset, and discuss the legal issues surrounding the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
Preregistration required; seats are limited.
This special program, honoring the 85th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is co-sponsored by the Black Women Lawyers' Association, CBA Alliance for Women, and the John Marshall Law School.
Preregistration is highly advised, as seating is limited!

  • Judge Diane Shelley will speak on Browder v. Gayle, the landmark US Supreme Court decision which found that Alabama's segregated buses violated the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
