Anytime/Web - The Impact of #Visualization Technology on Open Source License Obligations

As virtualization technology becomes widespread, it raises many issues with respect to software licensing. The notions of location (where is software running), hardware and software (what system, CPU, O/S things run on) are made ambiguous or even meaningless. With respect to open source software, the questions of distribution and aggregate work are raised anew, as is the very practical question of how to provide notices in a virtual world.
In this Webinar, presented by Black Duck Software with Karen Copenhaver, partner at Choate Hall & Stewart and Counsel for the Linux Foundation and Mark Radcliffe, partner at DLA Piper and General Counsel for the Open Source Initiative (OSI), we will provide an overview of pertinent virtualization technologies, how they work, the issues they raise and perspective on how to address them.
