Problems with Reverse Mortgages, VA, and Long-Term Care Medi-Cal : On-Demand #MCLE

Elders seeking legal advice are being misled about the advantages and the true costs of reverse mortgages, the dangers of boiler plate living trusts, and the potential for being scammed when they apply for VA Aid and Assistance benefits. Senior service providers need to educate and protect their senior clients from being financially abused.
This presentation will focus on how reverse mortgages, living trust traps, and the activity of financial predators working the VA Aid and Assistance program impact seniors' financial independence and ability to qualify for Long-Term Care Medi-Cal.

Children with Disabilities in Child Care: On-Demand #MCLE

Finding and maintaining child care for children with disabilities can be challenging. There are numerous barriers to accessing care. Families have legal rights under state and federal laws, but given the variation in types of child care, not all laws apply in all situations.
This training will help attorneys and advocates sort through the various state and federal protections. It will also address barriers created by state Health and Safety laws.

Guide for Pregnant and Parenting Youth: On-Demand #MCLE
