November 22: Advanced Appellate Advocacy Seminar 2024

The Eighth District Court of Appeals, in partnership with the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, is offering an all-day CLE, featuring Eighth District Court of Appeals Judges and staff attorneys, along with neighboring appellate judges, esteemed practitioners, legal scholars and representatives from several clerks’ offices.
The seminar will focus on advanced topics in civil and criminal appeals. In summary, this program will focus on civility among appellate lawyers and the duty of candor to the tribunal under the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct and the State and Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure.

The seminar is presented by the Court of Appeals for Cuyahoga County and Eighth Appellate District, and is hosted by Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Credit:
  • Ohio: The court is seeking approval for six hours of CLE (including one hour of professional conduct as well as credit for six specialty hours toward OSBA appellate law certification).
  • Other Jurisdictions: You may be able to self-apply to your credit-granting authority.
