August 14: Kent, WA - Felony Consequences / Misdemeanor Convictions - Criminal Law So Far 2015

The first hour of this program explains the collateral consequences of misdemeanor convictions on clients who later face felony charges. The second hour addresses developments in criminal law so far in 2015, including State v. Allen and State v. Walker (addressing prosecutorial misconduct), State v. Blazina (addressing the court's duties with regard to legal financial obligations), State v. Rich (limiting the crime of Reckless Endangerment) and State v. Peeler (concerning Final Disposition requests), as well as legislative changes to the DUI law, Pretrial Supervision and Competency (in light of Trueblood).
This is a criminal defense oriented CLE, but is open to all who would like to attend .
