February 3: Getting to Net Zero? Evaluating Pathways for Achieving NYS Climate Goals

In July of 2019, New York State enacted the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. The State’s goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% within 10 years and 85% within 30 years, with the ultimate goal of net zero emissions. These milestones will require a fundamental transformation not only of the energy, transportation and real estate industries, but also on the level of individual households.
Our panel of experts from government, industry, law, and the environmental community will discuss potential pathways for achieving these ambitious goals and the challenges the State will have to contend with along the way.
