May 22: Living with the FFCRA – Paid Sick/FMLA Leave, Intermittent Leave/PTO, Tax Credits and Paycheck Protection Program Loans

Re-opening the workplace requires a deep understanding of the FFCRA, which provides eligible employees with new paid leave benefits through at least December 31, 2020. This week’s deep dive will cover the following:
  • Paid sick leave and paid FMLA leave for employees with school-aged children,
  • Taking emergency paid leave on an intermittent basis with or without company-provided PTO,
  • Collecting documentation to maximize the tax credit reimbursement under the FFCRA
  • Spending wisely any funds obtained through the Paycheck Protection Program that must be spent on payroll.
