February 25: Rechargeable Subrogation: How To Investigate Lithium-Ion Battery Failures and Achieve Subrogation Recoveries

Rachel Ward and Jerry Nolan, of National Subrogation Services, will present a Cozen O'Connor webinar titled, "Rechargeable Subrogation: How To Investigate Lithium-Ion Battery Failures and Achieve Subrogation Recoveries" on Thursday, February 25, 2021. This program will teach the audience about lithium-ion battery losses and how to lead successful subrogation investigations involving these products. The presentation will discuss how lithium-ion batteries function and fail, the different forms of thermal runaway and causes, and a review of the industries that utilize lithium-ion batteries. The program will also include case studies that discuss specific lithium-ion battery failures. The case studies include consumer products, electric vehicles, and power plants. Lastly, protocol and expert selection recommendations to ensure best practices for pursuing a subrogation claim will be discussed. This session will include audience participation in the form of trivia-style questions.
