  • Cynthia R. Beyea is a Partner in Dechert’s financial services practice, representing mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, business development companies, investment company boards of directors and investment advisers. She has a particular focus on matters related to the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other related federal securities laws.
  • Clay Douglas is a Partner who assists a variety of entities, including business development companies, in their capital-raising efforts, launch-to-market operations, and with other regulatory and transactional matters. Mr. Douglas advises issuers and investment banks in connection with public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, including through equity compensation plans. He also advises clients engaged in strategic transactions and on general corporate governance matters.
  • Nadeea R. Zakaria is a Partner who focuses her practice on financial services matters. She has extensive experience advising registered funds, their boards and investment advisers on various regulatory, compliance and business matters. She has particular expertise with respect to business development companies and private credit funds, among other alternative strategy investment funds, as well as U.S. registered investment companies, including mutual funds and closed-end funds.
