March 18/Pittsburgh: A 28th Amendment?: Legal Issues, Remedies and Strategies to Get the Money Out of Politics #MCLE

As witnessed in the past election cycle, the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United (2010) has allowed corporations to play a larger role in elections as they are given rights as "citizens".  John Bonifaz from Free Speech For People will introduce the consequences of granting corporations such rights and will explore how a constitutional amendment might serve to address these issues.  Leo Gerard from United Steelworkers will follow up with his perspective and an explanation on why USW supports the call for an amendment.  This discussion will be followed by a question & answer session with the panelists.
