March 13: Tacoma - Foreclosure Prevention #MCLE

Learn best practices for homeowner advocacy in foreclosure defense cases, including practice tips for successful negotiation, mediation, and litigation with lenders. Additionally, the presenters will discuss the process for mediation under the new Foreclosure Fairness Act. Special focus will be given to topics relevant to active duty military and veterans, including the Servicemember Civil Relief Act, Veteran’s Administration Loans, and assisting with veteran’s benefits.
The Foreclosure Prevention Unit (FPU) helps low to moderate income Washington homeowners facing foreclosure of their primary place of residence. They represent homeowners in loan modification negotiation, mediation under the Foreclosure Fairness Act and litigation to protect and enforce homeownership rights under state and federal law.
