June 23: Commercial Real Estate Restructuring - Trends and Outlook

The pandemic has negatively affected most classes of commercial real estate (CRE); however, some CRE sectors such as e-commerce warehouses, self-storage facilities, certain grocery stores, and medical spaces have done better than restaurants, retail spaces, hotels and shopping malls for example.
With an undefined end to the pandemic, there is still a tremendous amount of uncertainty regarding the commercial real estate market. This situation has also presented innovative possibilities including affordable rental prices, vacancies in sought after locations, and a shift towards a greater use of technology and digitalization.
Supported by data findings from Bloomberg Law’s 2021 Commercial Real Estate Bankruptcy Survey, this webinar panel will discuss industry trends – with explanations from speakers on the short-and long-term strategies and innovative ways to address distressed CRE clients.
Learning Objectives:
  • Understand how the pandemic affected the commercial real estate market
  • Recap recent legislative amendments to the Bankruptcy Code
  • Examine distressed lending patterns and outlook
  • Develop creative restructuring solutions that help businesses stay afloat.
This webinar is intended for advisors of landlords and tenants of commercial real estate, advisors of CRE funds and assets management companies, as well as bankruptcy practitioners.
