July 19: Supreme Court Update 2021 - The NCAA, Free Speech, and the Fourth Amendment

  • National Collegiate Athletic Association v. Alston et al, a case challenging NCAA imposed limitations on benefits provided to student athletes,
  • Mahanoy Area School District v. B.L, a case about the application of the First Amendment to speech uttered by a student outside of school hours, and
  • Lange v. California, a case exploring the exigent circumstances exception to the Fourth Amendment's warrant requirement.
  • If time permits, we may include additional cases.
