May 25: Managing Employee Leaves in California

California’s leave laws are complex, have a broad reach, and are subject to frequent change. Join us for a webinar exploring the myriad leave laws in California and their interaction with federal law. We will discuss mandatory and optional leaves of absence under California and federal law, leave as a reasonable accommodation of a disability or legally protected medical condition (and how those terms are defined), pregnancy disability leave, workers compensation leave, California paid sick leave, and other important leaves of absences required under state and federal law. We will also address eligibility requirements, required notices, the continuation of health and/or other benefits, the mandatory or optional use of accrued leave, reinstatement rights, and state wage replacement benefits available for particular leaves. Finally, because we cannot completely move on from COVID-19 just yet, we will discuss leave as an accommodation for a COVID-related disability, and for those at risk for severe COVID-19.
Join us for this extended webinar, which will be one hour with an additional 15 minutes for questions.
